Vintage EDISON PERMISSIBLE ELECTRIC CAP LAMP BATTERY Mining Caving Spelunking

Description

The Battery was designed to be only opened in the mine "Lamp House". This was to keep to prevent any kind of accidental spark from occurring underground. The lamp and battery are untested. The case has numerous scuffs and dents. It worked hard in a difficult environment. The cord has a crack that can be seen in pic. 11.
The case is 7 3/4" x 4 3/4" x 1 1/2".
