S.T. DUPONT MONTPARNASSE PEN, SILVER PLATED GODRON PATTERN, 18K NIB, DUPONT BOX

Offered in this listing is a  S.T. DUPONT MONTPARNASSE  "CHAIRMAN" FOUNTAIN PEN in the silver plated Godron pattern...both cap and barrel. This is a 5-3/8" pen, marked on the flange at the top of the barrel, S.T. DUPONT in script and PARIS along with a square hallmark which I think indicates "silver plate." On the edge of the long slender clip the pen is serialized and on the opposite side, MADE IN FRANCE. Lots of gold plated trim in excellent condition. There are no flaws on the silver finished cap and barrel.  The pen has seen very little, if any, use. The pen is a cartridge/converter filler and a converter and 4 small cartridges are included, but not installed. This pen has the unusual design feature of separating the section/nib assembly from the barrel. One must turn a small pop-up handle at the base of the barrel which frees the section. Another distinctive design feature is that  the cap sits flush on a barrel flange that widens out to the diameter of the cap... all these parts are gold plated.  The rounded, very smooth nib, which looks like it has never seen ink,  is marked  18ct, D(script), 750, M and is very firm. Great pen. Comes in a DUPONT box and papers which may or not be original.
