(2) ACM Berkeley Pit Tool Tags
Here are two stamped brass tool check tags from the Anaconda Copper Mining Company's Berkeley Pit in Butte Montana. Mechanics were required to leave a tool check in the shop when they checked out a tool for work. That way the company could track the missing tools down! Included is a brass clip that the miner probably had clipped to his bibs the hold the check tags. Please see my photos for the best description.
