The Honda CBR250R is one of the best small displacement sport bikes on the market. The Honda’s low seat height and light weight make it appealing for new riders. Like the big CBR models it is sporty, smooth, and eager to please. The smallest CBR has a comfortable riding position and is plenty fast enough to ride on the highway.
The key feature of the CBR250R is its fuel injected single cylinder engine. This new liquid cooled DOHC power plant delivers smooth power with excellent throttle response. The engine puts out the kind of mid-range punch that is satisfying for riders of all levels. While the parallel twin engine in the Kawasaki Ninja 250 might make more power in the top-end, the Honda’s single is more lively with immediate torque on demand.
The Honda CBR250R is easy to maintain with the proper service information. The fuel injection system does away with annoying carburetor cleaning. The valve clearance is a shim adjustment type that has long intervals, and the shims can be changed without removing the camshafts. The rest of the motorcycle is straight forward and easy to service with basic tools.
